Non-Attendance Fee
SMS reminders are sent to you the day before your scheduled appointment (or a phone call to confirm your availability). If you are unable to attend, please contact us to cancel your appointment at least 2 hours prior to your appointment. This way we can offer that appointment to someone on our cancellation list.
A $40 fee will be billed to you if you fail to attend your booked appointment. This is non-rebatable from Medicare and is payable before booking your next consultation.
Repeat Prescriptions and Referrals
An appointment with your Doctor is required for these services.
Please book your appointment before your medication runs out.
A non-rebatable $30 fee applies to repeat prescriptions and ongoing referrals without consultation.
New Patients
New patients are requested to be at the practice 10 minutes prior to the doctor’s appointment in order to complete a Patient Registration and Consent Form.
Results
It is best to book an appointment with your doctor to discuss your results. In the event that you are unable to come in, the nurse may release the test results to you upon the doctor’s approval.
Recalls & Reminders
We utilise SMS and/or letters for recalls and reminders in order to promote continuity of care. Please ensure that we have your most appropriate and up-to-date contact details in our file. Please inform us if you do not wish to receive these recalls and reminders.
Your Rights
Kirwan Family Clinic takes your concerns, suggestions, and complaints seriously. Please do not hesitate to talk to us. Alternatively, for health complaints, you may contact the Queensland Ombudsman online, or by phone on 07 3005 7000.
Teaching Students
From time to time, with your consent and approval, Kirwan Family Clinic will have a Medical student sit in during the consultation.
